Abstract:
To provide a glow plug capable of improving rapid temperature rise property.SOLUTION: A glow plug comprises a front end coil that is mainly composed of W or Mo and the tip part of which is joined to a tube, and a rear end coil joined to the rear end of the front end coil. A resistance ratio R1 that is the ratio of a resistance value at 1000°C to a resistance value at 20°C of the front end coil, and a resistance ratio R2 that is the ratio of a resistance value at 1000°C to a resistance value at 20°C of the rear end coil, satisfies the relationship of R1>R2. A ratio of the resistance value at 20°C between a first position, which is the half of an axial distance from the tip of the rear end coil to the rear of the rear end coil, and the tip of the rear end coil to the resistance value at 20°C between the tip of the rear end coil and the rear of the rear end coil is greater than 50%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
