Abstract:
To provide a glow plug which can protect a center shaft and a joint part between the center shaft and a ceramic heater, and to provide a manufacturing method for the glow plug.SOLUTION: A glow plug 1 includes: a cylindrical housing 2; a ceramic heater 3 inserted into a tip part of the housing 2; a center shaft 4 which establishes electric continuity with the ceramic heater 3; and a rotation stop member 51 which prevents rotation of the center shaft 4 relative to the housing 2. An arrangement recessed part 22 in which the rotation stop member 51 is disposed is formed at an inner periphery of a base end part of the housing 2. A center shaft engagement part 41 which engages with the rotation stop member 51 is formed by a metallic material integrated with the center shaft 4 at an outer periphery of the center shaft 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
