Abstract:
To provide a glow plug capable of effectively suppressing vibration of a middle shaft to suppress flexural stress applied to a ceramic heater, and a method for manufacturing the glow plug.SOLUTION: A glow plug 10 has a correction part 510 extending along an axial direction, wherein the correction part 510 comprises an outer peripheral surface which extends in a circumferential direction of a center shaft 30 and in which a plurality of irregularly shaped concave parts 520 and convex parts 530 are aligned in an axial direction. The entire outer peripheral surface of the correction part 510 is formed on a rolled surface so as to include the plurality of convex parts 530.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
