Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an inhibitor containing a specific active ingredilent, high in safety, having high glycerophosphoric acid dehydrogenase inhibitory activity, capable of its ready formulation in foods, and useful for preventing or treating obesity.
CONSTITUTION: This inhibitor contains as active ingredient a compound selected from cholesterol-3-sulfate, dihydrocholesterol-3-sulfate and their salts. The (dihydro)cholesterol-3-sulfate is obtained, for example, by sulfating (dihydro) cholesterol. The dose of this inhibitor is pref. 0.5-5000mg/day for adult and 0.5-3000mg/day for child in terms of the active ingredient. It is preferable that the proportional amount of the active ingredient in this inhibitor be 0.3-15wt.% for oral administration and 0.01-1.0wt.% for parenteral, administration. Pharmaceutic at manufacturing through coating the active ingredient clan yield the objective inhibitor with high stability, therefore being favorable.
