A drive casing 17 covering an electric motor 3 is disposed on the driving side of a bearing casing 11 and coupled with the bearing casing 11 via the overall circumference of cooling fins 24. A fan 19 is disposed oppositely to the shaft 1 of the electric motor and driven via the electric motor 3. A cooling air stream is produced inside the drive casing 17 by the fan 19 and allowed to flow from the outside via an opening 18 into the inside of the bearing casing 11. The cooling air stream comes to the cooling grooves 33 of a cooling element 12 and runs axially along the cooling fins 24: thereby heat release into the surrounding area of the cooling element 12 can be increased significantly.
