Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a golf ball, by which the golf ball excellent in a carry of a driver shot can be obtained.SOLUTION: A method for producing a golf ball has the steps of: preparing a rubber composition containing (a) a base material rubber, (b) a 3-8C α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or a metal salt thereof as a co-crosslinking agent, (c) a crosslinking initiator, and (d) a carboxylic acid and/or a salt thereof, and further containing (e) a metal compound when containing only (b) the 3-8C α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid as the co-crosslinking agent; hot pressing the rubber composition at a press temperature of t-40°C to t-15°C when setting a one-minute half-life temperature of (c) the crosslinking initiator as t°C to mold a spherical core; and forming a cover of at least one layer on the spherical core.
