Abstract:

To make a golf ball easily found out in daytime and night and identified whether it is self one or other's one to enable the ball to be used in daytime and night by adding a luminous agent into the marking on the surface of the golf ball.

When an identification number to discriminate the ball 1 from others, grade, trade mark, etc., are printed as marking 3 on the surface of a golf ball 1, a luminous agent is added into the marking 3 by, for instance, forming the marking 3 by ink or paint containing a luminous agent. As the content of the luminous agent, for instance, 60 wt.% of the solid of ink or paint is preferable. It is allowed to apply, for instance clear paint on the marking 3 to protect the marking 3. As the luminous agent, nothing is specified and, for instance, strontium aluminate with high afterglow brightness and weatherability is preferably used.
