Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball excellent in a carry of a driver shot.SOLUTION: A golf ball includes a cover 12 of at least one or more layers coating a spherical core 4. The spherical core 4 is formed from a rubber composition which contains base rubber, α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid of a carbon number of 3-8 and/or its metallic salt, organic peroxide expressed by the general formula (1), carboxylic acid and/or its salt, and an organic sulfur compound. The organic sulfur compound is at least one kind selected from the group consisting of thiophenol replaced by halogen, metallic salt of thiophenol replaced by halogen, and diphenyl disulfide replaced by halogen. A hardness difference between a surface hardness and a center hardness of the core is equal to or more than 12 on JIS-C hardness.
