Abstract:
PURPOSE: To evade interpolating processing due to an interpolation coefficient causing the frequency response characteristic of a video signal to be turned to the most deteriorated state and to attain interpolating processing capable of suppressing the deterioration of the frequency response characteristic by applying offset processing to the interpolation coefficient in the case of executing interpolating processing by a video signal having an interpolating processing function.
CONSTITUTION: A conventional video device with an interpolating function is newly provided with an offset circuit 107 for an interpolation coefficiet to execute the offset processing of the interpolation coefficient. Namely when the interpolation coefficient is a value in a certain fixed range having large picture quality deterioration, the deterioration of picture quality due to interpolating processing can be reduced by executing offset processing through the offset circuit 107.
