A head 2 consists of a head main body 7 and a face member 8. A recessed part 5 is formed corresponding to a face 3 on a front face of the head main body 7 and a window hole 6 passing through the rear surface side is formed on the inner side of the recessed part 5 in the head main body 7. The face member 8 is formed by a platelike metallic material and is fitted in the recessed part 5. A first recessed part for connection 15 is formed in the recessed part 5, and a second recessed part for connection 17 is formed in a section of the face member 8 opposing to the first recessed part for connection 15. A member for fixation 18 is provided between the first and second recessed parts for connection 15 and 17, and the member for fixation 18 is plastically deformed and is pressed in the first and second recessed parts for connection 15, 17 so that the face member 8 can be securely fixed on the head main body 7. Even in the case of the undercut window hole 6, a projection part 6B is not rolled up.
