Abstract:

To provide a golf course service system capable of acquiring the location information of each player without burdening a golf course manager and providing service information (i.e., distances to pins) at low cost effective for each player to play.

A portable information display means with a transmitting/ receiving function with specific identification information is carried by each player. Radio waves from the portable information display means are received by a transmitting/receiving base station previously installed at each location of a golf course to collect reception intensity information and the identification information. By analyzing the collected reception intensity information and identification information, it is possible to compute and display the location of each player on the sketch drawing map of the golf course. In addition, it is possible to superimpose and display the computed location information on the sketch drawing map of the golf course also on the portable information display means.
