Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article conveyance device in which carriers arranged in relation to the conveyance of articles are respectively independently movable on a travel path, and which efficiently performs maintenance work, such as cleaning of support members of the articles arranged on the carriers and exchange of components.SOLUTION: Provided is conveyance means comprising multiple carriers 20 capable of traveling independently on an endless circumferential travel path 30 to convey articles W supported on the carriers 20. A maintenance position M is set outside an article conveyance area on the circumferential travel path 30, and the multiple carriers 20 are travel controlled by a control unit 60 so that they are collected at the maintenance position M. However, moving travel of the carriers 20 outside the article conveyance area is subjected to travel control different from moving travel in the article conveyance area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
