Abstract:
To restrict a telescopic motion amount of a governor rope by a simple structure without cost increase.SOLUTION: A governor device of the invention has at least a tension pulley 21 that is arranged rotatably in the vicinity of a pit floor 13 of a hoistway and on which a lower side folded back part of a governor rope 10 is wound, and a tension weight 23A for imparting a predetermined tension to the governor rope 10. The tension weight 23A has a vertical dimension variable structure with a variable dimension in a vertical direction and a part of it is arranged in a hight position which can contact the pit floor 13, and the vertical dimension of the vertical dimension variable structure is varied in response to a telescopic motion of the governor rope 10 and a load applied to the governor rope 10 is increase or decreased.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
