Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1048323
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain a GPS receiver which compensates the attenuation of a signal between an antenna part and a reception part.

A GPS receiver is constituted in such a way that an antenna part 1 and a reception part 2 are separated. The antenna part 1 is provided with an antenna 4 which receives radio waves from a satellite and with an RF amplifier part 5. The reception part 2 is provided with an A/D converter 6 which converts a signal from the antenna part 1 into a digital signal and with an analysis part 7 containing a digital signal processor or the like in which a signal from the A/D converter 6 is analyzed and computed so as to display a position. An optical conversion element 10 is connected to the output side of the RF amplifier part 5. In addition, a photoelectric conversion element 12 which is constituted of a phototransistor or the like is connected to the input front stage of the A/D converter 6. Then, an optical fiber 14 is installed, via respective optical connectors 16, across the optical conversion element 10 and the photoelectric conversion element 12.
