Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010214131
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a system to modify refractivity of a cornea of the eye.

The invention relates to a system to modify refractivity of a cornea of an eye, and includes a ring shape first component (22) adapted to be implanted at a first depth in the cornea (14). A second component (26), separate from the first component (22), is adapted to be implanted at a second depth in the cornea (14). The diameter of the second component (26) is smaller than that of the first component (22). The optical axis (30) of the eye passes through the second component (26) without passing through the first component (22). The second depth is closer to the front surface of the cornea than is the first depth.
