Abstract:
To prevent a problem of deterioration of grain quality in a dryer, occurring upon stopping the drying operation resulting from a determination that the fuel supply to a burner is abnormal.SOLUTION: A grain dryer comprising a burner 5, a storage chamber 2 storing grain, a drying chamber 3 drying grain, and a moisture meter 26 that takes in the grain being dried to detect the moisture in the grain, is provided with fuel flowmeters(60a, 60b) detecting the amount of fuel being supplied to the burner 5, and is configured to continue a drying operation even when the fuel flowmeters (60a, 60b) are determined to be abnormal during the drying operation with the burner 5 being in a burning state. When the fuel flowmeters (60a, 60b) are determined to be abnormal, the grain dryer decreases the fuel flowrate from the target fuel flowrate by a set ratio, and continues the drying operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
