Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grain dryer that can make the work of removing residual grain present in an upper conveyor duct and of removing dust in a drying part simpler.SOLUTION: The grain dryer is constituted of: a storage chamber 2 that receives grain from an upper screw conveyor 19; and a drying part 3 equipped with a hot air chamber and an exhaust chamber for drying grain received from the storage chamber 2. An open/close lid 33b for feeding outside air is provided on a front wall 31 of the exhaust chamber in such a manner that its opening/closing can be controlled, and an open/close shutter 21 for opening the bottom part of the upper screw conveyor 19 to the storage chamber 2 is provided in such a manner that its opening/closing can be controlled, and further a collective open/close controller is provided for collectively opening/closing the open/close lid 33b and the open/close shutter 21, whereby the removal of dust present in the exhaust chamber by opening the open/close lid 33b of the exhaust chamber as well as the removal of residual grain present in the upper screw conveyor 19 by opening the open/close shutter 21 of the upper screw conveyor 19 can simultaneously be carried out, and hence the upper screw conveyor 19 and the drying part 3 can simultaneously be cleaned according to the need therefor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
