PURPOSE: To obtain granular wettable powder having excellent degradation in water and dispersibility in water, by granulating a new composition comprising an active ingredient of agrichemical, diatomaceous earth and preferably a surfactant by extrusion granulation method.
CONSTITUTION: A new composition comprising an active ingredient of agrichemical (especially preferably ferimzone or validamycin), diatomaceous earth (especially preferably one having 1-10m2/g specific surface areas) and preferably a surfactant (especially preferably high molecular anionic surfactant) is made into a kneaded material, which is uniformly granulated into granules having about 0.8-2mm particle diameter by an extrusion granulator. The uniformly granulated granules are dried by a forced-draft dryer to give granular wettable powder. The granular wettable powder has excellent degradation in water and dispersibility in water even by production by extrusion granulation method without using a specific packaging form. Since the granular wettable powder has high apparent specific gravity, packaging form can be lessened. In order to avoid moisture, for example, the granular wettable powder is stored in a container having a desiccant.
