To provide a granulating and drying device capable of supplying dried granular soil whose grain sizes are less than a prescribed size and is uniform.
A partition plate 8 is provided at the boundary between a granulating chamber 2 and a drying chamber 1 in a rotary drum, and a rotary blade 3 is disposed at the lower part of the granulating chamber 2. The kneaded soil charged from a hopper 4 is rolled while crushing the soil by the rotary blade 3, and the roundish granular soil whose grain sizes are less than a prescribed size is allowed to overflow the partition plate 8, is fed to the drying chamber 1, and is dried by indirection heating in a heating tube 17, then the dried granular soil is discharged from an outlet hood 6 provided at an outlet end 5 of the drying chamber 1.
