PURPOSE: To execute an appropriate display by storing a screen magnification table for showing a threshold magnification at every display item in the auxiliary storage device of a host computer system.
CONSTITUTION: In the auxiliary storage device 12 of the host computer system, the screen magnification table against a display item group is stored. When one display item in the display item group is designated by an input device such as a keyboard 9, etc., and a certain magnification is instructed, the host computer system 2 retrieves a corresponding table stored in the auxiliary storage device 12, detects by the corresponding table whether the instruction exists or not, adds information of prescribed magnification and instructs it to a graphic display device 1 through an interface 14, a transmission line 15 and an interface 13. A graphic processing control part 5 changes the contents of a window memory 6, based on said instruction, and sends the changed data, namely, graphic information of display magnification corresponding to the instructed display item, to a frame memory 7.
