PURPOSE: To improve an operability by unnecessitating a screen enlarging operation at the time of designating a position, as for a graphic operating method and system by which the position can be accurately designated on a screen where the graphic is displayed.

CONSTITUTION: The graphic operator is equipped with a display control part 21 which controls the graphic display of a designated coordinate on a display screen, display magnification detecting part 22 which detects the display magnification of the screen where the graphic is displayed, rounding control part 23 which changes a rounding unit based on the display magnification from the pertinent display magnification detecting part 22, and coordinate inputting part 24 which inputs the coordinate of the display screen. When the coordinate is inputted from the pertinent coordinate inputting part 24, the display magnification of the graphic including the designated coordinate is searched by the above mentioned display magnification detecting part 22, the rounding unit is changed by a preliminarily decided coefficient from the display magnification, and the rounding of the coordinate is operated by the above mentioned display control part 21, based on the changed rounding unit and the inputted coordinated.
