Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a graphitic heat transfer vessel having a thermal conductivity higher than heretofore.SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of a graphite crucible as one of the graphitic heat transfer vessel according to the present invention, pellet-like granulated raw materials 3 are charged into a cavity C formed between a metal male die D and a rubber female die M and is pressure molded to be a pressure molded compact in a pressure molding step P2. Although the granulated raw materials 3 constituting the pressure molded compact are joined to each other at the interface to form a densified vessel, an anisotropy of the heat transfer properties being a characteristic of the graphite does not have adverse effect on the graphite crucible after sintering, because the most of the granulated raw materials 3 are randomly oriented. As orientation of the graphite no more has adverse effect, the graphite crucible can be obtained having heat transfer properties better than the conventional one.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
