Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve a graphite tubular furnace for atomic absorption spectroscopy with a specimen support.
CONSTITUTION: The graphite tubular furnace 1 comprises zones 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 5', 4', 3', 2' arranged almost at the center of the furnace in right-and-left synmmetry. Each zone is shaped to be sufficiently fittable and applicable to functions of electric contact, the prevention of thermal drop, the limitation of a spraying chamber, the fixture of the spraying chamber and a specimen support 10, etc. The specimen support 10 which is actually formed not to be further heated with Joule heating or heat conduction and fixed not to be moved has the minimum mass.
