PURPOSE: To utilize a grass cutting apparatus attachable at the nose of a power exbavator as an attachment and enable the grass cutting even on an unleveled ground or slope.

CONSTITUTION: This grass cutting apparatus is provided with a connecting section attachable at the nose of the arm 3 of an excavator, a cutting member 18 having a grass cutting blade, a basket member 24, a hydraulic pump 29, an engine 27 driving the grass cutting blade and the hydraulic pump 29 and a solenoid valve 30. The hydraulic pump 29 actuates a rotary cylinder which rotates the cutting member 18 and a discharging cylinder which discharges cut grass by lifting the basket member 24. The solenoid valve 30 which actuates both of the cylinders is connected to the main body 1 of the excavator and is operated from the main body 1. The heavily loaded grass-cutting blade is driven by the engine 27 and the cutting member 18 is connected at the connecting section 15 via two transverse rocker arms which are vertically expandable and, accordingly, the grass cutting apparatus can work on an unleveled ground and a slope.
