Title:
GRASS-DIVIDING DEVICE IN HARVESTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0440821
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To smoothly perform grass-dividing and cutting works by disposing a cutting device on the front of a vehicle body, a stem straw-raising device on the front of the cutting device and further a rotary grass-dividing device on the front of the stem straw-raising device of the harvester, respectively, the rotary grass-dividing device being composed of a rotator having a plate-like portion.

CONSTITUTION: In the rotator 5 of a rotary grass-dividing device 5, two arch-like bent lever-like members 21, 21 are disposed laterally symmetrically on the rotation axis, the ends of the lever-like members 21, 21 being connected to each other to form an approximately streamline shape and a steel plate 22 being spread to a space between both the lever-like members 21, 21. The front end connected portion of the rotator 6 is rotatably borne on a position behind the fixed grass-dividing member 15 of the cutting and grass-dividing frame 12 and the rear connected portion is connected to a rotation shaft 23. The rotation shaft 23 is con nected to a transmission shaft 17 through the stem straw-raising device 4 and an intermediate transmission case 18. The rotator 6 is rotated with the rotary grass-dividing device 5 to widen the stem straws from each other with the edge portions of the rotator 6. Since the rotator 6 has a plate-like portion, the rotating of the rotator 6 produces wind due to the plate-like surface thereof to release the entanglement of the stem straws, thereby further promoting the stem straw-separating action.
