PURPOSE: To automatically detect the falling-out of a little number of grate bars at high accuracy.
CONSTITUTION: A level meter 10 faced to the grate face in a pallet 1 at the turning-over pat 8 of the pallet in an ore supplying side and disposed movably to right and left directions in a pallet transverse direction, transmits measured distance signal in the grate face direction and shifting distance signal in the pallet transverse direction to a computing element 13. In the case the distance in the grate face direction becomes infinite or is remarkably increased larger than the setting distance and this condition becomes larger than the width of grate bar width (e.g. 35mm), the computing element 13 transmits alarming signal to an alarming unit 14. The alarming unit 14 generates alarming sound and the falling-out of the grate bar is informed to an operator. The detecting accuracy in the falling-out of grate bar is improved and further, the leakage quantity of blasting is reduced and the yield is improved.
