The doctor blade 43 is supported by a blade holder 4 obliquely movable so that the tip end freely moves close to or apart from the gravure roll 12 and the blade holder 4 is supported by a blade base 2 to freely move close to or apart from the frame 1 in the horizontal direction to the frame 1. A dial gauge 24 for measuring the relative distance between the frame 1 and the blade base 2 and a bolt 23 for moving the blade base 2 close to or apart from the frame 1 are provided on both ends of the frame 1.
