To provide a gravure printing unit which is equipped with a cassette truck of a simple structure and capable of automatically operating the transfer of a plate cylinder between the cassette truck and a chucking shaft by the truck.

The cassette truck 13 is equipped with a plate cylinder support part 17 and an ink pan support part 18 having a slide rail 18a. In addition, the printing unit 1 houses a lifting device 11 for plate cylinder replacement independently of the cassette truck 13 internally. When the plate cylinder 4 retained by the chucking shaft 3 is transferred to the cassette truck 13, an ink pan 14 is set at a position off the lower part of the plate cylinder 4 by moving the pan 14 along the slide rail 18a, then the plate cylinder 4 is received from the chucking shaft 3 by moving the lifting device 11 up and down and mounted on the plate cylinder support part 17 of the cassette truck 13.
