To provide a gray manifesting color aluminium alloy without performing electrolytic pigmentation (such as secondary electrolytic treatment and third electrolytic treatment), which has excellent productivity and is also suitable for industrial use.

The gray manifesting aluminium alloy has a composition comprising, by mass, 0.2 to 3.5% Si, 0.3 to 1.5% Mg, 0.1 to 0.3% Cu and 0.02 to 0.8% Fe, and in which the total content of Si and Fe is ≥0.8%, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities, and is obtainable by being subjected to anode oxidation treatment. As pretreatment to the anode oxidation treatment, chemical polishing treatment or alkali etching treatment is performed thereto, thus, even if being a gray color tone, its gloss is also controlled.
