PURPOSE: To obtain a simple grinding stone shaped grinder with cheap cost, by mounting annular abrasive cloths, dividably constructed in a longitudinal direction by two types of grinding particles, on the outer periphery of a frame expandable or contractable in the longitudinal direction, and interposing a resilient member under the abrasive cloth.

CONSTITUTION: A protruding part 8 of moving member 7 moving in a long hole 6 of the side 4 of a frame 2 and the side 5 of a frame 3 are fixed by means of a screw 12, while a spring 9 is installed between a protrusion 10 of the side 4 and a protrusion 11 of the side 5 to expand outwardly curved parts 13, 14 of the frames 2, 3. The frames 2, 3 are contracted in advance, while annularly connected two types of abrasive cloths 1, 1' of different particle are attached to the frames 2, 3. Then, the frames 2, 3 are expanded by the pulling force of the spring 9, while the surfaces of said cloths 1, 1' are so set as to form reverse faces respectively. The frames 2, 3 are also provided with stepped gaps 15, 15', where resilient members 16, 16' are mounted. The two surfaces of said cloths 1, 1' are also used respectively for rough grinding and finish grinding, while the abrasive cloth can be replaced for renewing the grinding performance, thus providing a simple and economical grinding stone shaped grinder.
