Title:
GRINDING BODY FOR MACHINING SURFACE, PARTICULARLY, WOOD SURFACE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01188278
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To ensure sucking of the grinding dust produced during grinding by retracting the first surface area where a suction passage opens inside. CONSTITUTION: A grinding tool body 5 for machining wood surfaces is supported on a support body 1 movable relative to this surface. This support body 1 has a suction passage 24 opening to a work face for sucking grinding dust by means of an external vacuum system. The opening of the suction passage 24 is arranged in the first surface area 23 of the work face, and this first surface area 23 of the work face is retracted inside a second surface area 4 for grinding. As a result, only the second surface area 4 is brought into contact with the wood surface to be ground and the first surface area 23 does not contact. Therefore, the opening of the suction passage 24 is always opened during grinding operation, and the grinding dust produced in the second surface area 4 always passes this opening and, being sucked to be removed.
