Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding device for rolling rolls with which the generation of reversal flow of a cleaning liquid which is jetted from nozzles is surely prevented by setting the colliding angle of the nozzle properly.
SOLUTION: This grinding device is provided with a grindstone 2 for grinding the surface of a roll 1, motor for rotating this grindstone 2, head in the tip part of which a opening part 10a is formed so that the same grindstone 2 is brought into contact with the roll 1 and which is provided so as to enclose the grindstone 2 without contacting with the roll 1, slit nozzle 22 which is provided along the peripheral edge of the opening part 10a of the head so as to jet the cleaning liquid to the contact part of the grindstone 2 with the roll 1 and a cleaning liquid supplying means and cleaning liquid recovering means which are provided in the head 10. In such a case, the collision angle θ of the slit nozzles to the surface of the roll is set not larger than a limit angle on a curved line on which respective points of 18° at the discharge pressure of the cleaning liquid of 5kg/cm2, 40° at 10 kg/cm2, 45° at 20kg/cm2, 48° at 25kg/cm2 and 50° at 30kg/cm2 are tied.
