Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a grinding method capable of highly precisely and easily grinding a cylindrical surface, which is effective in the case of a long grinding range.
CONSTITUTION: A cup grinding wheel 1 is used as a grinding wheel. The grinding is conducted while circularly moving the cup grinding wheel 1 along the cylindrical curved surface 9 of a work piece 9. Since the rotating shaft 17 of the grinding wheel is off-center from the central axis 15 of the curved surface 9a at this time, the curved surface 9a is subjected to the polishing as mutually crossing grinding stripes, and highly precise grinding can be easily performed.
