Abstract:

To provide a grinding method and a grinding device useful for modification by abrasion of a grinding wheel following grinding.

In the grinding method of the peripheral edge of a glass plate, the glass plate 2 is fixed to a table 12, the table 12 and the grinding wheel 4 are relatively moved along a preset track while the rotating grinding wheel 4 being pressed onto the peripheral edge 21 of the glass plate 2, thereby grinding the peripheral edge 21 of the glass plate 2. In the grinding method, a size after a toothing grinding wheel 5 for toothing the grinding wheel 4 or the glass plate 2 is ground by the grinding wheel 4 is measured by a measuring mechanism 30, and the track is modified based on the size.
