A grinding wheel fitting device (S), designed to accommodate a dressing-type grinding wheel (5), has loop grooves (6, 6' and 8), which accommodate balancing lugs (9, 10), and the balancing lugs (9, 10) can be moved or fixed in terms of an angle and position within the loop grooves (6, 6' and 8) for manual balancing purposes. The balancing lugs (9, 10) can be divided into at least two groups, and these groups can be moved or fixed so as to have given or desired angles or be located at given or desired places with no relations with each other. The grinding wheel fixing device allows simple, speedy, and nevertheless highly accurate dynamic balancing, thereby making repetitive measurement or repeated compensation unnecessary thereafter.
