Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a grinding wheel provided with a centering mechanism, with which the accurate centering is possible, by using the conventional grinding wheel fixing device.
CONSTITUTION: A grinding wheel 10 is provided with a female screw part 34 formed in a through hole 30, an annular fastening member 38 to be screwed from one end of the through hole 30, and a centering member 48, which is formed with the inner peripheral surface 54 facing to the outer peripheral surface of a rotary shaft 12 and which is provided inside of the through hole 30 and which is elastically deformed in the direction for reducing the inner diameter of the inner peripheral surface 54 with the axial displacement of the fastening member 38 and the through hole 30. At the time of centering, in the condition that the grinding wheel 10 is fitted to a first cylindrical part 23, the fastening member 38 is rotated till the cylindrical part 24 is fastened by the centering member 48, and the inner diameter of the centering member 48 is evenly reduced. Furthermore, since the fastening member 38 and the centering member 48 are provided inside of the through hole 30, change of the conventional flanges 14, 16 is unnecessary.
