Abstract:
PURPOSE: To restrain a nut of a tool holder from the expansion caused by 'a centrifugal force of a spindle in the high speed rotation and improve the fastening force of the nut.
CONSTITUTION: A tapered part 2, flange part 3 tool holding part 4 are formed integrally with each other. A collect 8 attached to the tool 9 is inserted in a tapered hole 5 formed in the tool holding part 4. A nut 7 threadingly engaging a screw 6 formed on the outer periphery of the tool holding part 4 is fastened to fix the tool 9 in a tool holder 1. A carbon fiber layer 10 having small specific gravity and large modulus elasticity is wound around the outer peripheral surface of the nut 7.
