To eliminate necessity of a lock pin for preventing drop of a mold, and prevent abrasion of a fitting claw, resulting in reduction of a load against a positioning device by installing each pair of fingers corresponding to each mold, and a single holding release operation means for holding or hold-releasing each of the molds simultaneously with the operation of each finger.
This mold exchanging gripper 4 is equipped with one pair each of right and left first, second, third fingers 13, 14, 15 for gripping a punch 6, a stripper 7 and a die 8 respectively. Each of fingers is fitted with a pin (18) 19 to a wing part (16a) 16b of a bracket which is fixed to the tip of an arm 3 being bent into a hook shape in a perpendicular direction, and can be swung in a horizontal plane around each pin, so that convex fitting claws 20, 21, 22 installed at the tip are fitted to a gripping ring of the punch 6, and V-shaped notches of the stripper 7 and the die 8 respectively. The fingers 13, 14, 15 can be simultaneously operated to be opened/closed with a single operation of the air cylinder.
