Abstract:
To provide a grommet that can make a vehicle interior side of a vehicle body panel waterproof in crimping and attaching the grommet to a through-hole of the vehicle body panel from outside of the vehicle interior.SOLUTION: The grommet has a flange 23 at an end part thereof, and has a hollow inner ring which has a plurality of hooks 25 to be locked to a circumferential edge of a through-hole of a vehicle body panel P provided on a surface thereof and a grommet main body that can engage with the inner ring and allows a wire harness to penetrate therethrough. The grommet main body has a cylindrical part 12 that passes through the inner ring, and a bent part 13, continuous to the cylindrical part, which engages with the inner ring by covering the flange of the inner ring, from the inside of the inner ring to the outside thereof. In an end part of the bent part of the grommet main body is formed a waterproof rib 16 opposing at an interval to the hook. When the hook is locked to the circumferential edge of the through-hole of the vehicle body panel, the end part of the bent part and the waterproof rib are sandwiched between the vehicle body panel and the flange of the inner ring, so as to rupture the waterproof rib.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
