Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a groove cutting method which can form a groove having a groove width as a designed value, while maintaining a high accuracy of section form.
SOLUTION: In a groove cutting method to form a groove to the processed surface of a work by using a cutting device which has a stage drivable in the orthogonal three axial directions X, Y, and Z; and a rotary shaft rotating by making the Z-axis as the rotating center; the cutting tool 25 is scanned along the worked surface of the work 29 so as to cut a groove having a free curve form, and furthermore, the section form of the above groove can be changed by changing the direction of the cutting tool 25 to the above scanning direction.
