Abstract:
To provide a device and a method for measuring density and water content of a ground which can minimize risk of breakage and loss of RI radiation source and which can improve measurement accuracy, while saving manpower for a measuring work.SOLUTION: A device 10 for measuring density and water content of a ground which measures density and/or water content of a ground by a radio isotope (RI) method comprises: an RI radiation source 14a; a measuring portion 13 receiving radiation from the RI radiation source; a rod-shaped body 14 in which the RI radiation source is disposed; a drill 16 drilling a ground; and a rotation plate 12 on which the measuring portion, the rod-shaped body and the drill are disposed. A plane position of the rod-shaped body and a plane position of the drill are constituted to be switched with each other by rotating the rotation plate. Drilling by the drill forms a measurement hole H in a ground G. The rod-shaped body is moved to a plane position of the measurement hole by rotation of the rotation plate and is inserted into the measurement hole. The measuring portion receives radiation from the RI radiation source in the ground, to measure density and/or water content in a measurement point.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
