Abstract:
To provide a technology that can promote formation of permafrost without injecting chemicals even in grounds where velocity of groundwater flow is relatively fast.SOLUTION: A ground freezing method consists of a process of installing multiple freezing pipes 12, 12 on the ground 10 so as to be aligned in a direction intersecting the flowing direction of groundwater at predetermined intervals from each other, a process of installing a pumping pipe 16 on the upstream side of the groundwater flow from the row of the freezing pipes 12, 12, a process of installing a discharge pipe 18 downstream of the groundwater flow, and a process in which refrigerant is supplied to the freezing pipes 12, 12 to form frozen soil 14a in the ground, and groundwater pumped up from the pumping pipe 16 is discharged into the ground 10 through the water discharge pipe 18. The groundwater discharged from the discharge pipe 18 is discharged in a direction opposite to the groundwater flow.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
