Abstract:
To provide a ground structure estimation method capable of two-dimensionally or three-dimensionally estimating a ground structure efficiently regardless of a ground state such as underground water existence.SOLUTION: A ground structure estimation method comprises: sequentially generating vibrations with a vibration generator 10 at a plurality of underground vibration generating points 62 different in depth to each other in an underground vibration generating hole 60; receiving S wave of the vibrations generated at each of the plurality of the underground vibration generating points 62 at either of a plurality of vibration receiving points 70 on the ground surface different in horizontal positions to each other and the vibration generating hole 60 and a plurality of underground vibration receiving points 82 different in horizontal position from the vibration generating hole 60 in an underground vibration receiving hole 80 and different in depths to each other; and estimating a S wave velocity structure of the ground G using elastic wave tomography based on a received S wave. In this way, using the S wave without relying on the P wave of the vibration enables the structure of the ground G to be two-dimensionally or three-dimensionally estimated efficiently regardless of a state of the ground such as existence of underground water.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
