Title:
GROUNDED TANK TYPE GAS-BLAST CIRCUIT BREAKER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05266760
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To fix resistors firmly and economically without applying excessive mechanical load to other parts by retaining the resistors, for closing or breaking vertically arranged in a gas-blast circuit breaker, with an insulating support tube at the lower part and an insulating tube at the upper part of the resistors respectively.

CONSTITUTION: Gas such as SF6 is filled in a break part tank 1, having ground potential and installed in horizontal on the ground; and a main breaking part 2, composed of a pair of a fixed electrode and a movable electrode, a resistance part 3, and resistors 12 and 12' for charging the breaking, are arranged. In this grounded tank type gas-blast circuit breaker, the resistors 12 and 12' are arranged in such a direction, that the longitudinal direction of those resistors nearly cross the axis of the main breaking part 2, and are made to have such a shape that the upper parts of them are folded in a U-shape. Moreover, both the lower end parts of the resistors 12 and 12' are supported with an insulating support tube 21, arranged in a lower tank 20, and a folded part is slidably retained with an insulating tube 23, arranged in an upper tank 24. This stably fixes the element of the resistor, and also lessens the mechanical load of an insulating spacer 4 and reduces the volume of the tank 1, improving profitability and reliability.
