PURPOSE: To improve service by executing group control of a low-floor and a high-floor elevators and a direct shuttle elevator, respectively, and by controlling so that long-time waiting by elevator users can be prevented.
CONSTITUTION: A group control system is constituted of a group control device 1 for high-floor part elevator, a group control device 2 for shuttle and a group control device 3 for higher floor in low-floor part elevator. Each of the control devices 1, 2 and 3 has group control parts 8, 9 and 10 and connected to each other through a transmission path 11. A transport capacity calculation part 13 for calculating the maximum number of persons that can be transported per unit time is provided at the control parts 8 and 10, and a transport capacity judgment part 14 for judging the transport capacity state of the elevator in a building is provided at the control part 9. Thus, when, for example, the number of users waiting for the shuttle elevator is large, some of service elevaters of the higher floor in low-floor part are used for direct operation to prevent long-time waiting by the users and to improve operation efficiency.
