Abstract:
To form a bridged half-sandwich type metallocene component based on a heteroatom-fluorenyl ligand and also based on a group IIIb metal of the periodic table; and to provide a catalyst component effective on the controlled polymerization of styrene, and a catalyst component having capability to form poly(methylmethacrylate).
Styrene, methylmethacrylate, and the like are polymerized by a polymerization catalyst containing the metallocene catalyst component based on a group IIIb metal of the periodic table and a bridged heteroatom-fluorenyl ligand.
