Abstract:
To provide a guide wire with high penetrating force while suppressing a damage inside a human body such as a blood vessel.SOLUTION: The guide wire comprises: a core shaft; a distal end chip; and an extension/contraction part which holds the distal end chip at a position separated in the axial direction of the guide wire from the distal end part of the core shaft and extends/contracts in the axial direction to make it possible to change the distance between the distal end part of the core shaft and a distal end chip, the extension/contraction part reducing its diameter from its proximal end side toward its distal end side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
