PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guiding device in the rolling of shapes with which stable guide of a material to be rolled is enabled and also which is especially effective to reduce the deviation of the web center by enabling installation of flange restraining guides for restraining the flanges of the material to be rolled so as to be nearest the mill center. SOLUTION: Plural flange guide rollers 2 which are vertically movable and with which the end faces of the flanges of the material to be rolled are restrained are provided in blocks 1 which are movable right and left and in a vertical direction, also flange restraining guides 3 which are vertically moved together with the flange guide rollers 2 are provided and made to be slidable in the flow direction of the material to be rolled so that the outlet ends of the flange restraining guides 3 are extended to the nearest part to the mill center. Slotted holes 33 into which the flange guide rollers 2 are inserted are provided on the flange restraining guides 3 and a sliding mechanism 6 such as a cylinder is interposed between roller holding members 51 which are vertically movable and the flange restraining guides 3.
