PURPOSE: The titled gum containing components of various medicinal plants and vitamin, and useful for promoting health.

CONSTITUTION: A gum containing medicinal plants, and obtained by incorporating components of the various medicinal plants therein, and improving the health aspect. For example, an extract of polygala root, ginseng, lycii cortex, licorice, adlay, etc. and cinnamon or lonicerae flos, etc., having nourising and tonic action is incorporated in a gum base, and further vitamin C is added thereto to give gum of health food used for employing physical strength or brain. In addition, extract of Gynostemma phentaphyllum Makino and licorice extract containing saponin components are added to the gum base or various herbal extracts and maltose good for throats are added to the gum base, etc. Calcium or unpolished rice embryo buds or what embryo buds, etc., may be optionally incorporated therein.
