Title:
GYRO-SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3944397
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel gyro-sensor capable of being made smaller than conventional ones.
SOLUTION: In the gyro-sensor S, an oscillating section 2 is so formed that a plurality of linear carbon wires 21, 22 are arranged so as to stand upright on a substrate 1 and that the oscillation is generated by repeatedly switching two states. In one state, a voltage signal with a pulse waveform is applied between the carbon wires 21, 22, and causes such a deformation that tops of the carbon wires 21, 22 are close to or in contact with each other. In the other state, the self-restoring force causes such a restoration that the tops are separated from each other. Furthermore, a detecting section 3 is so formed that fixed electrodes 31, 32 are separated at a constant spacing and arranged so as to cross a direction in which each carbon wire 21, 22 oscillates. Therefore, in the case the Coriolis force is generated by an additional angular velocity, the amount of deformation is detected in the direction crossing the oscillating direction of each carbon wire 21, 22.
